Edie Lune is a collaboration between friends (Jessica of Sugarhouse Workshop and myself), a desire to embrace the slow crafts we both love, make something beautiful, and share it. Our zine focuses on an illustrated story and it was important to us both to include recipes and crafts that are woven through the story itself.

The zine’s cover is printed via letterpress. The cotton thread binding these issues together was dyed by hand. The 28 interior pages are printed on the most luxurious linen paper.

This bundle is for all four zines; spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Our Spring story follows Tom and his Mom as they enter into spring, awake and alert and ready for the many adventures that coincide with warmer days. Our summer story follows a small family as they pack up their things and move someplace new. Our young main character, Maeve, feels the waves of emotion that come with moving, but her mother’s magic helps through that enormous transition. Our tale is woven with threads of seasong. Our autumn story follows a troupe of wholesome mischief makers, collecting friends (and stolen supplies) as they traipse through their neighborhood. Parents usher their children out the door to join the band of kids so that they can prepare for the autumn harvest block party later that night. The children all have a plan that they put in motion as they move through their day and the only thing their parents know is that certain things are missing or just slightly out of place. Our story is woven with threads of community, harvest time meals, mischief, friendship, and a little bit of mystery. Our winter story follows sweet sleepy Isabel as she wakes in the night by the light of the moon and embarks on an adventure that stems from curiosity and leads to safety and warmth in unlikely places.
